The most devastating event in CES history

Happened today around 11:20 am at the Las Vegas Convention Center. I was at the Intel booth watching someone demo one of their VR headsets, while eaves-dropping on one of their reps conversations regarding their 49 qubit quantum chip set (which is going to be a whole different conversation).

I had felt a kink in my shoe so I promptly adjusted it – when suddenly, a blip!

Bleep!

everything shut down and order descended into darkness.

There was a short silence that followed...

My eyes took a while to adjust, but I remember hearing other attendees and exhibitors quietly remark on the predicament. It was quiet surreal, one of the biggest events of the year go silent, even if it was for a moment.

It was quiet pleasant to be honest. I didn't realize there was so much heat coming off from Intel's display until it had turned off. Have you ever wondered how many devices would be considered too much? Well, I think we found out.

The black-out wasn't that devastating.

But, It was the simultaneous sound of eyes rolling back because of the the people that were about to make ironic remarks on twitter (big technology trade show, doesn't have technology to run it tweets incoming).

At first I thought adjusting my shoe caused the black out. But then again, I don't think the universe hates me that much.
